i have to say, this is so very strange writing about the beginning of 2020 now that we are in the homestretch.
wow, wow, wow...what a year it has been. not a single person on this planet could have predicted what was in store for us as we rang in the new year.
we were all so full of hope and excitement for 2020...
(the dang pics loaded from Feb-Jan and i just don't feel like reloading them...so bare with me)
life seemed so normal at ryan's February birthday.
little did we know what the world had in store...
for her 12th birthday we did a little staycation. stayed the night at the Chase and did all things StL!
(oh my goodness this ball pit made me nauseous pre-covid...now i can hardly stomach the pics)
dan took his gals (plus ellie) to the sgm father/daughter dance
aunt debbie came in for a little visit
we celebrated decades day at school
after winning their very first stanley cup...the blues were set to host the all-star game! what a weekend this was! dan & i were able to go to the all-star game and we took the girls to the all-star fan fair at union station. so proud of our city for yet again showing the world what awesome sports fans we are!
lilly was asked to be apart of a one-day hockey school put on by ty gretzky. this was part of the all-start weekend and highlighted girls in hockey! it was truly an amazing day for lilly. not only was she able to meet some incredible women in hockey...but the great one himself!!
my dad living his best life
just the greatest hockey player of all time signing our little girl's jersey.
a truly exciting and emotional day for her, for her dad...and my dad!
sticking with he theme...we also took a quick weekend trip to Vegas to watch our blues take on the golden knights. this was my first time in vegas and it did not disappoint! the game, the atmosphere, the friends...we had the very best time!
oh how naive we were to think 2020 was going to be the best year yet.
