visit #3...yes i'm serious
5:03 PMi know, i know...it's starting to get a little out of control but we visited our 3rd pumpkin patch last thursday evening. this time we hit up the kirkwood farmer's market with our friends ellie, gretchen and grady...oh and the sweeney's too, of course. the farmer's market is one of our favorite places during the summer and they throw together a great little pumpkin patch once the temps start to cool off. ry was so surprised when she saw a car with "no roof" like dow's...only to realize it was dow! he stopped by to join in on the fall fun on his way home from work!
ry spending equal time in the "corn pools" (think sandbox only with corn kernels. pretty creative if you ask me) with her pals gretchen and ellie.
the sweeney's took a spin on the tractors
lil giving her best bud a lift
everyone got in on some slide action.
then we all headed back to ne ne & dow's for some pizza. i swear i have never seen all four of them sit so still during dinner. they were obviously hungry from all that farmers market fun!
on friday night dan and pat had tickets to some college hockey game. so since we were both father-leass for the night, bossy & i decided to have a cookie decorating/pj party over at their house. bossy just loves her projects and we are happy to be able to take part in all the fun. first we cut out all the spooky halloween shapes...
then came the decorating. what a fun mess! ryan had a ball with this activity. her hands were completely covered in sprinkles. i tried to snap a pic of those messy hands...this was the best i could get
and then of course it was time to devour...
after a messy project like that...there is no better reason to throw 4 kids in a bubble bath. it's amazing how fun bathtime can be with a full tub.
lil & mol letting it all hang out!

I cannot get over the phrase "corn pool"...
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to feel like a bad mom since i haven't even been to a pumpkin patch yet!!
ReplyDeleteThe corn pools were pretty creative, but they also kind of grossed me out. There was a kid who was like submerging his head & I thought I was going to yak.
