whew, we made it! another week with dan away on business. thank goodness that was his last long trip of the year! we miss him so much when he is away. this last trip was a little easier to swallow considering i was flying out on friday to meet him in nyc for the weekend! we try to make this little trip every year. nyc is one of our favorite cities and although we try to jam way too much into two short days (hockey game and broadaway show this year) it's worth it. every now and then we need a little dan & katie time to recharge our parenting batteries! there is no better feeling than coming home and seeing the excitement in the girl's face when we walk through the door!

anyway, back to buisness. last weekend we had back to back photo shoots to get some updated professional pictures of the girls and get a shot for our annual christmas card. i know, back to back is a little extreme but i had booked a friend of mine and then our usual photographer (another friend) told me she was doing her mini sessions again. so of course i couldn't say no! the pictures below are a few from the 2nd session with my friend teegan. she is very talented and took about 500 pictures. i will be getting the disc shortly and will post more but these were a little sneak peak she sent me.

the weather has been beautiful here the last couple weeks, a little warmer than we are used to for october but we'll take it. we hit up tilles park with the sweeney kids last week for a picnic lunch and to play in the leaves. ry was really excited to see that they are begninning to put up all the christmas decorations. i know it's early but it takes awhile to get all those lights up. we're already looking forward to the 2010 winter wonderland!
