homestretch
7:30 PMwe are officially under the month mark...
i had my 36 week check up this morning complete with an ultrasound. we haven't seen the baby since 20 weeks so it's always nice to take one last peek before meeting them in person.
here is the best picture we got from today...

i know it's not the clearest picture. (these 3-d images totally freak my mom out...sorry mj!)
what you're looking at is the baby's face with it's arm in front covering it's right eye. you can see a chubby left cheek, cute little baby lips and a little button nose. the baby was sound asleep during our viewing. we tried to wake him/her to move that arm but no go.
everything about the baby looked perfect in the ultrasound. he/she is weighing in at 5lbs 15oz...which the doctor estimates will be around mid 7lbs come may 15th. all three girls were in the mid-high 7's so that sounds about right.
the baby's heart rate clocked in at around 153 beats per minute. the old wives tale says the higher the heart rate the better chance it's a girl. a lot of people don't believe this. this is probably the only one i somewhat believe...only because all my girls were above 140 at this stage in the game.
you never know though.
the ultrasound tech said she didn't see much hair when she was measuring the baby's head circumference. hard for many to believe when you look at the head of hair on our girls today...but Lilly was basically a baldy until she was about 12 months. i'm not sure we'll have another silver haired newborn like may...but, we shall see!
as for me...i am feeling really good. my only complaint i have is my hands. the carpal tunnel has returned with a vengeance this last week or so. my hands are both currently asleep as i type this post. i am wearing my wrist braces to sleep every night which helps...but to have your hands go completely numb during the day is very frustrating. not to mention it hurts!
however, if that's all i have to complain about i consider myself very blessed.
big sisters were able to go with me to the appointment this morning since they were both off school. they are soooo excited to meet this baby!

ryan is sticking with her boy guess, lilly says girl, may could care less and dan is starting to panic about the possibility of 4 weddings.
obviously we do not care either way...we just want the baby here and healthy!
just over 3 weeks then let the smothering begin!
