christmas fun

8:16 PM

ok people. we are officially one week away from christmas eve.

one week.

seven days.

how is this possible?!? i just don't understand where this month has gone. i feel like we have submerged ourselves in the season yet it's still flying by at an alarming rate. i want to dig my heels in and let this week drag on as long as it possibly can. afterall, the anticipation of christmas is what makes this time of year so fun!

anyway, this past weekend we definitely sucked the marrow of the season. starting saturday morning with breakfast with santa at ursuline. one of my favorite events! i know i am starting to sound really redundant saying everything is my favorite...but it's true! i love them all.

pals

sisters

jack made reindeer food and was not pleased when he realized there were no actual reindeers to feed. the nerve of ursuline...

can't you feel the love?

this chick never misses a photo op.

"mom, take a picture of just me in front of the tree"

the littles (for now)

and the bigs

so proud of herself for sitting on his lap...my girl is getting so big!

it was a christmas miracle...they all "sat" with santa.

(may doesn't get what the big deal it)

nice face lil...let's try that again.

and now i have no clue what ryan is doing. i give up.

after breakfast my mom and dad took the girls home with them for their "christmas slumber party" while i went home to get the house ready to host the hauck cousin christmas party. this is a while post in itself...i will have to compile all the instagram images from that night. it was so much fun!!

the next day we lounged around the house until it was time to get ready for our next holiday event. the bellerive kids christmas...and as usual it did not dissapoint. the evening started like it always does with the marionette show. this year may was not as into it. she decided to observe from afar rather than up close with her sisters. the big girls, however, loved it!

may wanted absolutely nothing to do with santa...can't really say i blame her. those white eyebrows are just creepy. ryan, as you can see is an old pro now...and lilly was so very proud of herself for standing next to the man.

the gals with their presents from santa. they choose toys for the kids by gender and age. poor ryan got an iron man action figure. next year i think we need to remember to add her as mary ryan.

well will you look at that...a decent family picture!

another christmas miracle.

i had to add this picture so i can always remember may's "cheese" face. she cheeses soooo hard.

and cue the ryan hauck photoshoot...i had to literally drag her out of there.
"come on mom, one more picture of me in front of the tree"

with monday already behind us i am digging those heels in hard...
