hunting for trees
7:07 PM
the friday following thanksgiving we headed west to our favorite christmas tree farm for the annual hauck/boyle outing. i believe this is our 6th year upholding this tradition. it truly kicks off the holidays for me. once the tree is bought...it's game on!
ok, ok, who am i kidding. it was game on in my mind on november 1st. i just can't help myself when it comes to this time of year.
anyway, back to the trees. we had a gorgeous day to hit the farm. it was a little chilly to keep you in the spirit but warm enough to enjoy the hunt. we spent a decent part of the morning checking out all the trees. may, however, refused to walk once she tripped over a little stump within the first few minutes! you're lucky you are so darn cute bird.

...and the traditional picture of chris' butt
the hauck tree
per usual we pick a big-a$$ tree with a big-a$$ trunk and it takes dan twice as long to saw it down
finally the sucker comes down
these two...i cannot not handle this picture. little lovebirds.
(and lilly looks like a teenager with her "coffee")
our lovely morning ended with the usual pit stop at steak n' shake. let's not kid ourselves, this is the best part of the day. nothing like a greasy burger after sawing down some trees!
until next year...
