hauck halloween version 4.0

i think it's no surprise to anyone that i love a good party. i love to cram our house full of fun people as often as i possibly can...and i am so lucky to have a husband who goes along with all my crazy party ideas.
we are on year four of this fantastic shindig
this year's party was just incredible. by far our biggest and by far our best.
our weather angels were working their magic once again. the weather could not have been any more beautiful. an unseasonably warm afternoon full of sunshine that led into a perfectly cool fall evening. our new patio really came in handy this year considering at one point there were exactly 4 people inside my house. amazing considering we had 100+, about 50 of which were under the age of 8!
some people think we're crazy for always hosting so many kids...but we love it. we love watching our girls running around with all their friends. there will come a day when they want to be off with their friends, rather than playing in our backyard, so we're savouring it while we can.
ok, ok, enough jibber jabber.
on to the pictures....
(obviously lilly was being super cooperative)
my mother-in-law told me about this costume about 3 days after last year's party. the wait was totally worth the look on the girls faces when she walked into the party. sheer surprise.
they were also equally impressed with elsa!
this guy made this weekend even that much more special. his wife and i planned an impromptu guys weekend. we decided the entire edison family has to make an appearance at the party next year...however we did have a lot of fun with the man of the family!

tell me that isn't the cutest snow white you've ever seen...
chris is reeaaallly worried about this whole ebola outbreak

this won the nonexistent costume contest in my books. for anyone who knows my mother...then you totally get this. if you don't, then let me explain. brick house is her song. weddings, concerts in the park, her kitchen...anytime anyone hears this song, they think of her. notice the address...362436 mighty mighty street. you totally agree now, don't you...winner!
my dad was good too. we decided he is a hybrid of jerry garcia and santana. two of his very favorite. (may would not go near him in that wig.)
thank you to all our guests who really went all out...

as always thank you to everyone who came out and made this a party to remember!
