weekend update

6:26 AM

another crazy fun weekend in the hauck house.

it may sound dramatic but i really feel like this weekend started our insanely busy holiday season. i think we are booked solid from here on out. if you would like to spend time with us we might be able to pencil you in january 1st.

what can i say, we are popular people! (insert winky faced emoji)

this fun family weekend started saturday with a day at the zoo courtesy of my dad's work. i know i've said it before but we are so spoiled with our zoo. it really is incredible...especially this time of year. they do a great job of decorating for halloween.

brendan and molly had soccer games and were going to meet us after so my mom and dad grabbed jack on the way to the zoo. i think he enjoyed being the only boy for awhile.

we got home from the zoo, rested for about an hour, then headed to des peres park for a bonfire/hayride the peterson's set up. it was so dark (only downside to fall) that i couldn't get any good pics on my phone and i left my good camera at home. hopefully meg will do a post (hint, hint) because it really was such a fun fall evening.

this morning we hit up the patch for our annual outing. we tried to get out of the house as early as possible because we just knew the crowds would be insane...and they were...even at 9:45.

these two...seriously. they are best pals. i am a very distant 2nd in may's world. she only has eyes for her dad. it's cool, may...i get it. he has that affect on me too.

really not sure what's going on here.

sassy pants picked her pumpkin and was ready to leave. forget all the fun stuff she just wanted to get home and put her minnie mouse witch on her pumpkin.

man i love a good baby-surrounded-by-pumpkins picture.

i also love how putting a hat on her head makes her cheeks look extra chubby.
(took a selfie just to document that i was actually there)

this is probably one of the girls all time favorite things to do. once dan pulls in our driveway he let's them jump up front and "drive" us home. lilly's getting pretty darn good at steering.

the car always erupts when dan hits the gas unexpectedly and may yells "whoa...crazy driver!!!"

we ended the weekend having dottie over for pumpkin decorating, dinner and s'mores.

looking forward to the uneventful week ahead. we have 5 days to recover until the craziness fires up again!!
