wow.

what an experience this was.

a HUGE (yes that called for all caps) tournament...viewed by people all around the world...hosted by our club! talk about once in a lifetime! the hype leading up to this event was big. the club completely closed down for over a month to prepare for it.

we spent most of june up at the pool and things were buzzing...but to walk onto the facilities the weekend before the event was truly mind blowing. our club was 100% transformed into a golf wonderland.

we decided take ry and lil to the tournament. we knew i was going to be hot and a lot of walking around so it was in may and annie's best interest to stay home with my mom. these two were the perfect age. they loved it.

of course we had to take in this major golf event with the biggest golf fan i know!

once the girls got their first autograph (brooks koepka, the eventual winner...nbd) it was off to the races. they wanted to get as many as they could for the rest of the day!

hole #9

successful day one!

we had so much fun the first day...we just had to bring our cousins back for the last day of practice to see if they could snag some autographs too!

success!!
(they were really excited to get dustin johnson's!)

autographs aren't just for golfers...

when one sees the wizard...an autograph is necessary!

this is one pooped crew after a full morning of chasing golfers!

the rest of the weekend was adults only. we wanted to really enjoy the tournament...no offense girls...and we knew it wouldn't be able to keep their attention without the autographs.

met up with amy and her sil on hole 13!

after that we headed to the clubhouse to grab some food and drinks. we ended up with a bird's eye view of every golfer coming off the course.

sunday was by far the most fun. the tournament was really heating up with tiger woods making a huge comeback. we kind of hit a bunch of holes but ended up on 17 & 18 with the rest of the world to watch brooks koepka pull off the win!

michael phelps...nbd

it was truly a weekend we will never forget. so honored to have been apart of it all and so very proud of the club we belong too for putting on such an amazing event!

oh yeah...and look who had dan's locker all weekend!!
