four years
6:17 AMon thursday dan and i celebrated 4 years of wedded bliss! this gave me a nudge to take a walk down memory lane. what a fabulous day our wedding was. if i had to go back and do it over i wouldn't change a thing. there is nothing better than having all of your family and friends in one place, an amazing band to get everyone on the dance floor and a photographer to take pictures of the entire event.
it's amazing how quickly time flies. i feel like this all took place just a few weeks ago. indeed a lot has happened since that fabulous day...2 beautiful babies, a new house, a couple back surgeries. it's been an amazing journey so far and i cannot wait to see what lies ahead. as long as i have dan with me i know it will be fun!

dan and i were married at our lady of pillar church with our reception at the fabulous chase park plaza in stl. it was a gorgeous (we were so lucky) december day with christmas decorations in full swing. (you all know how i love this time of year!)
our wedding party kicked "you know what". i can honestly say i am still very close to every single one of my bridesmaids. these gals knew they woud be stuck with me for life. the same goes for dan. there isn't one groomsmen he doesn't keep in touch with to this day. although they are now scattered across the country we still see them all often!
this was one of my favorite pictures of the day. a great one of "the shadow" and i right before we headed down the aisle. never once did i feel nervous or anxious the entire day. it was everything i had hoped it would be.
and of course the reception topped it all off. mj and jack know how to throw a party! our band, the wonderful ralph butler band, kept everyone on the dance floor all night. they let us take over. my father-in-law sang sittin' on the dock of the bay, dan's cousin erin sang a rendition of at last that gave every goosbumps, our buddy al gave an energetic version of shout, meg, amy and i started our new tradition of proud mary, and scottie got up there and blew everyone socks off with his guitar. (he was only 15 at the time!) it was an unforgettable night. i wish i could post my entire album on here because the pictures are priceless. dan and i have decided on our 10th anniversary we're going to do it all over again!! so be prepared :)
happy anniversary danny boy! i always thought those hallmark cards were so cheesy "i married my best friend" but i really can't say it any better. you are my rock. thank you for asking me to marry you.
i love you.
