surprise!!

what. a. weekend.

it is tuesday evening and i feel as if i am still recovering from saturday night. no, no...not just because i drank one too many crazy ol' bitches. it's because of all the anxiety that comes along with throwing a surprise party. it's keeping my mouth shut to the person i talk to at least once a day. keeping my 3 kids from trashing the house the day of the party. keeping my heart from pounding out of my chest the few mins it takes for my dad to drive down my street.

however, all of that anxiety leads up to one exhilarating moment...

we totally got her!

and my dad won the quote of the night award. as he was pulling up to my house he said to my mom "you know how much i love you, right? well...this is how much our kids love you"

good one dad. good one. ali, lisa & i were crying.

the party was such a blast. i am going to let the pictures do most of the talking for me...

we were celebrating my dad as well since his birthday is a week after my mom's

my mom's signature cocktail of the night. she was calling herself this all week long

these 3 were invited merely because they live here...but also because ryan hates to miss a party

ry and lil spent most of the party watching disney channel in my bed...but every now and then lil would do a lap around the party. give the camera a big smile then run back to my room. may went to bed about 1/2 hour after my mom arrived and slept through it all. girlfriend loooves to sleep.

a dance party erupted in my dining room as soon as "brick house" came across the speakers. i wouldn't expect anything less...

late night snacks of popcorn and sliders were enjoyed by all

and a heck of a lot of instagramming went on late night as well....much to nana's chagrin! she hates our damn phones :)

it was such a fabulous night celebrating two of the most important people in my life. no one deserved such a showing of love and friendship more than my mom and dad.

happy birthday you two...we sure do love you!!!
