lately

it's been a bit since i blogged...not really holding up my end of the blog-more-this-year bargain...so i thought i'd fill you all in on what's been happening in our world lately through the pictures on my phone.

we got snow 2 weeks ago...lots and lots of snow. that polar vortex was not joke.

it led to many consecutive days spent inside and home from school.



thank goodness santa brought new board games



by day 4 we were all going a little crazy



i had been letting the lack of vitamin d and some pregnancy blues (aka weight gain blues) get the best of me. so when dan left to go out of town for a week i woke up to a little scavenger hunt down memory lane. that boy always knows how to lift my spirits. (he'll hate me for posting this)



this little bird started school. she looks pretty excited, right?



wrong. she has only had one day due to more snow but only made it one hour on that first day. lots of tears...which is not like her at all! apparently girlfriend just missed her mama way too much. she's ready to try again next tuesday. fingers crossed.



4 days into dan's week-long biz trip, i was able to join him down in sunny (yet chilly) florida.



even though they were experiencing abnormally low temps i still enjoyed every second of alone time on the beach.



even met some new friends



and read half of a book!



we got home just in time to take the girls to see sesame street live on saturday. they had an absolutely blast. thank you again to miss maggie and her mama for thinking about the girls and giving us the tickets.









oh yeah and the belly. it's growing. baby is moving...a lot.
