lilly went and did it again. as much as i asked her to stay four forever...she went and had another birthday and turned another year older.
it's just not fair.
these girls are growing up way too fast. i feel like i was just looking at this little face yesterday.
and now she's turned into this beautiful little five year old
lil had a wonderful birthday week. it all began with a special visit from sarah the elf. the girls always ask sarah, before she heads back to the north pole christmas eve, if she could come back to help celebrate their special days. they must be extra good girls since santa lets sarah take a mini vacation twice a year!
next she enjoyed the traditional birthday morning pancake breakfast. she chose blue with sprinkles this year.
then it was off to camp bellerive for a day full of tennis, golf and swimming!
friday night the celebration continued with an impromptu park date with the petersons. a beautiful evening at drace quickly turned into a soaking wet evening. however, it was the perfect kind of summer rainstorm. no lightening, no thunder just rain. the kids had an absolute blast dancing and splashing the night away.
we also introduced them to the art of lightening bug catching...
saturday was lil's big birthday party. i am still kicking myself for not getting my big camera out and taking party pics like i usually do. maybe it was the 40+ kids running around my house that caused that to slip my mind! the party was hot...but so much fun!!
the fun filled weekend ended with colleen's christening on sunday.

lilly, your dad and i hope you had the most perfect birthday your little 5 year old self could have wished for. you are such an amazing little girl and we couldn't be happier to call you ours.
