mah...6 months
1:33 PM
i don't even know how to begin this post.
i remember (vaguely) when you were about 8 weeks old, thinking to myself, if i can just get to 6 months. six months will be such a good place to be. you'll be coming into your personality and this fussy period will be a distant memory.
i remember (vaguely) thinking how slowly those fussy days seemed to move.
then i remember (vividly) around 12 weeks, you changed. you grew out of that fussiness and grew into this happy, content baby.
it was in that instant time seemed to speed up...and it has not slowed down since.
six months.
it's been 6 whole months since you came into our lives and not a day goes by i don't think about how extremely lucky we are. although it was hard at the time, i wouldn't trade a single second of your fussy phase because it makes me appreciate this phase that much more.
you are, without a doubt, the smiliest baby in the family!
we visited dr sara last week for your six month check up. as to be expected, she said you are practically perfect in every way. you weighed in at 15lbs 4oz...also known as the 25th percentile. (that seems to be the magic number in our house.)
you are doing much better in the sleeping department. sleeping all night, for the most part. you might wake up once or twice a week in which you'll down a few ounces and go right back to sleep. i would say most nights you are asleep by 7:30 and i have to wake you up around 7:00 to take your sisters to school.
you are nap time rockstar. during the week you'll cat nap all morning in the car but once we're home in the afternoon you will go down for a nice long 2-3 hour nap. you have grown to love sleeping and are pretty good about putting yourself to sleep.
as you can see, you have turned into a finger sucker. your left index finger is your go-to when you're tired. while i do find it pretty darn adorable...i realize it will be a tricky habit to break some day. (still figuring out how to break your big sister's thumb sucking habit)
you have mastered sitting up. however, the glorious days of you sitting in one spot and playing with toys was very short lived.
you are a mover!
you officially started crawling a few days before your hit 6 months. you aren't super fast yet, which i'm totally ok with, but with every passing day you get quicker and quicker.

you are eating up a storm. still working through the baby food stage but slowly moving onto finger foods. there really isn't much you don't like.
you have been very interested in delaney recently. anytime she lays near you, you crawl over to her and just kind of stare at her.
you are equally fascinated with your cousin...
as well as your big sisters...
(trust me, the fascination goes both ways.)

this past month brought some more firsts for you...
first time riding in the cart at target
first pumpkin patch visit
first halloween...

first trip to the mountains...
first time planking
overall you are loving life and we are loving you!
we love you annie girl. cannot wait to see what next month brings!
