going through my pictures from the past month and i am realizing that i kind of cheated myself out of a few with my last monthly post. technically you hadn't celebrated christmas at 7 months...but that's ok. we still have fun stuff to cover for this month!

just look at how big you are getting!

man, you were such a trooper that entire trip!

you even brought home a little souvenir from...a cold! that has been super fun. (sarcasm) you haven't really slept well since we got back. i noticed that you aren't sucking your finger anymore because your nose is so stuffy...which i think is the reason you are having a hard time getting back to sleep in the middle of the night. it's so hard to hear you cry...that sad raspy cry, especially at 1:30 in the morning, is just heartbreaking.

this is probably the other reason you aren't sleeping. you are pulling up on anything and everything you can get your hands on. your grandpa reminded me the other day that you have two weeks to officially break the family record. (my brother walked at 8.5 months) i'm cool with leaving that record with jake!

how can i be upset about the lack of sleep when you look so darn proud of yourself!

i took you into the doctor last week just to make sure this cold didn't make it's way to your ears. (all clear) you are weighing in these days at 17lbs 5oz. no clue where that falls on the scale but if i guessed i'm sure it's around the 25th percentile. that's where you hauck chicks always seem to fall. i'll know your specific stats at your 9month appt.

you are eating any and all table foods and drink 4 6oz bottles a day. absolutely loving that you can feed yourself now. such a big helper!

the weather's been unseasonably warm this week so we've been getting outside as much as possible. you loooove the swing.

you still only have one tooth but i think you are probably working on another...which i'm sure is also another thing keeping you up at night. man is that one tiny chomper cute or what?!?

you are thoroughly enjoying your big sisters and everything they might do. even watching their soccer games. when your sisters come around you light up like a christmas tree! i don't think anyone gets smiles as big as ry, lil and may.

today i found myself studying your face as i rocked you to sleep this afternoon. i wanted to try to burn these perfect baby features into my brain. that little nose...those chubby cheeks...and don't even get me started on those lips. those little features are changing so much so quickly that i don't want to forget any of them. i guess that's why i blog...so i don't forget.
