my baby is 18 months old.

it makes me so sad to think my baby isn't really a baby anymore.

she's in full-on toddler mode now. i know i have written here about newborn amnesia...pretty sure it applies to the toddler phase as well. i have forgotten how completely exhausting this stage of the game is. the running, the jumping, the climbing. i cannot keep up with this little hurricane!

we hit up the doc last week for her 18month check up. she's breaking family records once again hitting the 60th percentile for weight. she's tipping the scales at 23lbs 1oz. i'm pretty sure the majority of it resides in those thighs.

as for her demeanor, this girl is about as happy as they come! she loves everyone and is not afraid to walk up to a complete stranger and say "hi." speaking of talking...she has a lot to say these days. we understand about 30% of it. you can tell she wants so badly to join in on her sisters conversations by the way she strings together sounds and adds in a few hand motions. the words we do understand are the usual suspects...mama, dada, ry ry, hi, bye bye, dog, bubble, cookie and just about every animal sound.

when it comes to eating...this girls hasn't met a food she doesn't like. she's willing to try anything and if it has any hint of sugar in it...she's all in. she dominated that donut one saturday morning while grocery shopping.

while she does play hard...she sleeps even harder! she never misses her nice long afternoon nap everyday and is asleep by 7:30 on most nights.

every now and then if we find ourselves hanging at home in the mornings i will find her passed out somewhere. it's hard work waking up at 6:30am to get her sisters off to school!

annie has been very blessed in the hair department. not only does she have a lot of it, plus the curls, it is also the most beautiful color blonde. i have major hair envy.
