mary may- four
1:13 PM
a year in the life of may hauck.
she recently turned four so i thought it would be fun to take a little look back at three and all this little birdie has been up too.

what can i say about our sweet girl? well, for starters let me be honest. three wasn't exactly a walk in the park. she gave me a run for my money for awhile there. i feel like maybe i can see the light at the end of the tunnel...but it's still pretty faint.
however, it wasn't all sass and whining. she does still have a sweet and silly side that comes out every once and awhile.
we saw the doc yesterday for her 4 year check up. that was fun. (insert wide-eye emoji) she was scared to death of pretty much everything. the scale, the stethoscope, the shots. but we survived. may is following right along with her big sisters in the height/weight department. 25th percentile for weight at 30lbs and 5th percentile for height at 31". such a tiny little birdie!
when it comes to food, may is an ok eater. i wouldn't say she's super picky, but she is hesitant to try new things. i think that has more to do with the 3/4 year old power trip rather than her actual taste buds. however, she loves her snacks. i probably hear "mom can i have a little snack" maybe 15 times a day. i guess maybe i should say no then she'd probably be more open to trying her dinner. ha.
when it comes to sleep, may knocks it out of the park. she loves to sleep. falls asleep fast and wakes up 12-13 hours later. she rarely naps anymore but she keeps her self entertained so it's cool.
speaking of entertaining herself...may has the best imagination of anyone i know. give her a few of her "guys" and she is set for hours. she really loves her toys and watching her play with them brings a smile to my face every day. she also has a strong passion for coloring and watching weird toy videos on you tube.
when it comes to her family may has a couple certain individuals tightly wrapped around her little fingers. one being her dad the other being my dad. may would be perfectly content if she was perched up on her dad's shoulders all day, everyday. rarely does dan ever see "sassy may" and that makes me just a tad jealous! so nice of her to save the drama for her mama. (eye roll)
however, i think she'd trade us all in for my dad. the bond between the maj and her sarg is a strong one. may knows she can get away with just about anything when my dad is around.
overall this girl is such a sweety little bird. she is a good listener for her teacher and a good friend to everyone she meets. she's a huge piece of our family puzzle and life just wouldn't be as fun without the maj!
we love this little four year old!
