thankful
12:11 PM
the holidays as we know it will never be the same.
especially thanksgiving.
i thought about nana a lot that day. she loved thanksgiving. however the first one without her only made me appreciate her more. i am so very thankful for every thanksgiving i was able to spend with her...all 34 of them. i am especially thankful for last 4. the ones i hosted in this house. we moved into this house the weekend before thanksgiving 2010 and my nana was here that entire weekend helping me get the house holiday-ready. there was nothing she loved more than moving us into our new homes...having a holiday at the finish line was just icing on the cake for her.
from the turkey to ironing the napkins she helped with it all and loved every minute of it.
i will forever cherish the time we spent getting my house ready for the holidays.
cheers to you, nana.
we felt you all around us that night.

celebrating this four year old a few days early!
after washing every dish....in cold water no less.
(our hot water heater had a build up which left us with no hot water in the kitchen all day. never a dull moment in this house!)
so very much to be thankful for...this year and every year.
