christmas fun

i thought i'd do a little blogging while i nurse my christmas hangover.

i cannot believe it has come and gone already...an entire month in the blink of an eye.

it's just not fair.

this year i kind of felt as if i was playing catch up. almost as if i couldn't quite keep up with the december days that were flying by. there really was no real reason as to why i felt this way...we did all the usual december activities...but for some reason i just couldn't let myself sit down and truly enjoy the season.

i tried my very best to do just that on christmas eve and christmas.

be present.

i think i did pretty well. i took it all in and just enjoyed being with family and watching my kids soak up as much christmas magic they could. it was a wonderful couple days.

now, don't get me wrong, we did have a lot of fun making our way to the present...

the month started out with ryan's first reconciliation. this was such a special morning spent with our oldest little lady. the three of us went to confession then took ry out for a special lunch at bellerive to celebrate. she had the very best time having her mom and dad all to herself.

while we were confessing our sins, my mom and ali took the other three to breakfast with santa at ursuline. they had a great time with their cousins!

we attempted a visit with my favorite santa in town.

it went well. (insert sarcasm)

we hit up christmas at bellerive.
this night never disappoints...well except maybe a little for may who was terrified of the marionettes again this year. annie, on the other hand, loved them!
