birdie, may may, the maj...

 what can we say about this girl? 

she is equal parts sweet

 sassy

and downright silly. 

since she is in pre-k and only has school monday through thursday she has plenty of time for her favorite extra curricula's. 

she loves ballet, 

soccer, 

but her one true love is the water. this girl loooooves to swim. she takes lessons every monday and is excited to join the swim team this summer. she jumps at any chance to swim that comes her way!

she is a wonderful sister...both as a little and as a big. she looks up to her big sisters so very much, yet is so loving to annie. it's really sweet to watch. whether it's teaching annie how to play with her guys or "reading" her a book...may is always there to show her little sis the way.  

she is also my independent child. while she loves dan and i...i wouldn't really say she is a mommy or daddy's girl. she's perfectly happy just being apart of the family. she doesn't need me for many things...except when she wants some "apples cutted up with no skin." for the most part she is perfectly content keeping herself busy. 

she has the most amazing imagination. 

she can play for hours with a dollhouse and a few of her guys. 

she is staying on track with her sisters in the peanut department. at her five year check up she only hit the 5th percentile for height. (20th for weight) she's still about 3 inches away from the indoor slide at the lodge and it kills her every single time she walks up to the measuring tape. 

soon, bird...soon!

she loves to travel and asks me every other day when we get to go on our next adventure. 

dottie's beach house is always her first choice.

disney world is a close second.

while she's a chatterbox at home...she can be quite shy in public and sometimes at school.

she enjoys school and holds on tight to her friends when she's there. however, her teachers speak so very highly of her. at her conference her teacher said "this will be quick because may is just the perfect student!" she's kind to her friends and listens to her teachers. 

a mom can't ask for more than that!

girlfriend loves a good surprise!

but also loves her sleep. when she's tired...watch out! 

(she is without a doubt my daughter in this sense)

overall our little bird is just about as perfect as you can get at 5 years old. 

we love her more than she'll ever know...
