november happenings

8:18 AM

the month of november was a good one.

we started it off with my 36th birthday. i'm officially diving head first into my late 30s...and i'm ok with it. i don't feel as old as i am so that's got to be a good thing.

my birthday turned out to be a gorgeous sunday in november, so we took advantage and hit up the zoo. i really love our zoo. it was recently voted america's top free attraction, an accolade that doesn't surprise me one bit. we are so lucky to be zoo members.

dan raked some leaves...

annie entered tantrum-town. i believe this one was because we were making her eat her dinner.
how dare we.

we marveled at the super moon!

tormented delaney.

kicked off the holidays with the winter wonderwalk at tilles park.
always such a fun night.

we enjoyed an evening with andy cohen.

continued the holiday spirit with the garden glow at the botanical gardens. this lights display is beyond beautiful. i could have stayed there all night and walked through at least a few more times.

we watched my dad play in his annual thanksgiving day football game.

the day after thanksgiving we went tree hunting. we attempted our usual tradition of cutting our tree down...drove all the way out to the farm only to find out they were closed this year because they didn't have a good crop of trees. major disappointment! we settled for the tree lot next to our house on our way home.

then it was home to decorate.

i think our needlepoint tree needs to be bigger next year...we have so many to showcase!

next it was on to the big tree.

and lastly, we decorated may.

the holiday season is upon us and we are just getting started!
