mrh is ten!

dan and i decided that when each girl turns the big 1-0 we will take them on a little weekend getaway.  totally their choice. a couple days to have mom and dad all to themselves. it's so very important to dan and i that we make amazing memories for our girls and we hope that these little trips will live on in their minds forever.

since ryan was up first she chose a weekend in the windy city. yes, i know we have been to chicago numerous times but there was an aspect of this weekend that was right up ryan's bucket list alley!

then it was on to the highlight of the weekend...

oh yes, we did.



after stalking the soundtrack for a solid year...we finally got the chance to see it.

and oh my word did it rock our socks off.
