school's out for summer!

the official kick off is always children's hospital night at six flags.
one of our favorites!




we had cousin pictures taken by the talented tracy wallin!









made our annual trip to ted drewes.

these girls took 1st place in bellerive's got talent...
for the 2nd year in a row!

dan took the little two to see the kidz bop concert!

we hit the zoo.



...and lilly turned 10!!

keeping with our new tradition we let lilly choose a weekend trip to celebrate 10 with just dan and i.
she chose to go to DC! i was so excited as i had never been there either.
we had the best time exploring our nation's capital!

we started the trip with a private tour of the capital building.

the speaker's balcony was so so cool.





but the national mall was by far my favorite.
lincoln's monument and the world war II monument were absolutely incredible to see.
especially at night!








scootering around the city might have been lilly's favorite feature of the weekend.




we see how much our girls love having our undivided attention on weekends like this.
we pray that these special 10yr trips stick with them forever!

i am already looking forward to may's 10th trip.
(as of right now she wants to do the rockefeller tree lighting in NYC. i am sooo down with that!!)
