summer time
1:50 PMsummer time is officially upon us here in the midwest and we are taking full advantage. we have been keeping ourselves very busy around here. trying to soak in all the outdoor time we can...all while trying to avoid the massive amounts of cicadas that have swarmed our backyard. (i hear we have only a week or two left with those annoyingly loud insects before they retreat back into the ground for another 13 years. i am already dreading their return in 2024)
anyway, back to the fun stuff....
we've been spending a lot of evenings (once the cicadas quiet down) on our back pad riding bikes and playing with chalk

we spent one saturday morning at faust park riding the carousel and playing on the playground...
woody and jessie went for a spin as well...
someone got her first haircut! just a little trim to clean up her mullet...

like i said...busy, busy, busy but loving every minute of our summer time fun. we have also been spending a lot of time at the pool. i think we've been to a pool almost every day since memorial weekend. one of these times i will brave bringing my camera into the water with me!
