my little stinker

as I mentioned before...#3...such a stinker.

we went to our ultrasound on monday, very excited to see the baby and get some good pictures to share with the world. and once again...baby stinker pants strikes! the ultrasound tech was able to get most of the measurements she needed. she measured the top of his/her head and the body, (measuring right on track to the due date of 12/1) we saw the 4 chambers of his/her heart, we saw hands, we saw toes, we heard the heartbeat (144 beats per minute...lower than the heart rates of my girls if you believe that old wives tale.) we however could not get this baby to show us his/her face. we tried and tried to wake the baby up to get it to move around a bit. ryan was using her best "big bossypants sister" voice but nothing worked. this baby was just not gonna cooperate. thank goodness we aren't finding out the sex...knowing this baby he/she never would have let us take a peek!

oh well, back to the ultrasound room i go in 4 weeks to give it another try. the tech said my doc will definitely want to get a picture of the baby's profile if she can. i think she also felt sorry for me that i wasn't able to take home any pictures that resembled our baby. i can't really say i'm disappointed, i'll take any chance i get to see this little one before his/her big arrival!

hey baby hauck, how about showing us something good next time...a wave? a thumbs up? the finger? we'll take anything!!
