vacation wrap-up

we've finally come to the end folks. why is it that vacations go by so fast? i suppose the saying "time flies when you're having fun" really is true. we spent our last morning just as we had the other 5 mornings. beach, pool, lunch, naps. this time...however...i decided to whip my camera out at the pool rather than the beach.

the kids loved the pool. brendan is such a dare devil now. he will hang on the side and dunk himself under water. it's amazing what 2 weeks of swim lessons will do for a kid. watch out michael phelps! ryan, however, was a little more timid about going under. she preferred singing songs to dunking her head. lilly, on the other hand, was a jumping fool. i swear the girl jumped off the side of the pool at least 100 times. she had to keep her life jacket a lot since sometimes she would jump before her catcher (aka, me) was ready. i know, you are all shocked by this. needless to say our kids are fishes and i am very happy about this. i am foreseeing evenings spent sipping cocktails at swim meets in our future :)
