well, we are finally up to ryan's actual birthday. (yes, i am aware i am almost 2 weeks late) wednesday, feb 15, 2012 at 3:38pm (i think) mary ryan officially turned 4. what a fun-filled day she had.

she woke up to a little surprise as she walked downstairs...

she was so excited to show lilly once we got her out of bed. they had fun playing with those balloons

daddy started a new tradition and stayed home and had breakfast with the birthday girl. (we usually don't see dan in the mornings because he is off to work before we all wake up. so dedicated!) of course we had to have pancakes...

and sing...

after breakfast it was off to school where she got to bring "4" cookies to her class. then we went to dottie's for an afternoon treat with ali, nene, dow, the sweeney & peterson kiddos. a big, sarcastic thank you goes out to aunt bossy for giving ryan this lovely princess shirt/hoodie combo. not that i am against princesses. i love them as much as the next girl...just not on clothes my kids wear out in public. she's in for some good payback come apr 23rd! i am only kidding...kind of. in all honesty ryan loves the sweatshirt so i am happy to let her wear it whenever she asks too. she says she looks like brendy because he always wears his sweatshirts unzipped like that

then it was back home for tacos and birthday cake. it was obviously a sweet day with all those treats! ryan insisted on using every candle in the pack, rather than just the 4 i suggested.
