little gymnast

it's amazing to me that even at such a young age, how different the personalities between my girls are. in some cases they are very much alike but for the most part they couldn't be more different. ryan, for instance is our outgoing (aka dramatic) one. she will break into a performance for just about anyone at anytime...whereas lilly is much more reserved and shy. she is not one to perform. she would much rather sit back and let her sister grab all the attention.

except, of course at the little gym. this is where lilly shines. she seems to be in her element amongst the uneven bars, balance beams and rings. this year marked lilly's third year attended classes at little gym and I can honestly say she has enjoyed every single one.

once ryan turned 3 we let go of the little gym and opted for ballet. quiet music, french ballet terms, dramatic costumes...it's all right up ry's alley. even though lilly will be turning 3 in a few weeks, there will be no switching to ballet for this girl. the gym is where she belongs!

last monday marked the last class of this year. they had a little award ceremony for the kids and for once lilly loved having the spotlight on her!

ry was so excited to come to lil's last class and play around. she is usually in school.

she couldn't have been more proud of herself...it makes my heart swell when I see my kids like this. i wish I could bottle that confidence up and sell it. i'd make a killing!
