quick trip

we spent this past week down in destin visiting my mother-in-law. it was totally a spur of the moment trip...sometimes those are best ones

we only had a few days down there but it was so nice to get away and relax. the weather cooperated and was in the 70s!

unfortunately since it's the off season down there southwest only offers one flight per day. it was a long travel day to get down there...but the girls were absolute rockstars! especially may, who doesn't like to sit still for too long.

once down there we did our very best to relax. I got a short run in on the beach...









we watched the sunset while we played on the sand...



woke up to a nice rain storm thursday morning but by the time may got up from her nap it was clearing up...















may did not like the sand. at all.
























i wanted to soak up as much of that wonderful vitamin d as i could!



dan & I actually got to spend some rare alone time on the beach catching up on the latest gossip mags



we had such a wonderful quick trip down there! the girls and i are panning a trip down again later this spring...i'm already counting down the days.
