slacker

i have been such a blog slacker lately...i apologize. we just haven't really been doing much that i feel i need to blog about!

so it's april. remember way back in february when ryan turned 5?? well we threw her a birthday party...and we (dan's cousin steph) took pictures which have been sitting on my computer since then. i figure better late than never, right??

the party was such a blast. it was ry's 1st birthday party where she got to invite her school friends. i wish i had video of her when her friends started to arrive. girlfriend was in her element. showing them around making sure everyone was included. i was in awe of her confidence and wanted to bottle some of it up for myself.

she decided on a wizard of oz theme for the party. well, really she wanted a wicked theme...ryan is a musical junkie. she cannot get enough. we took her to see wicked when it was in town and within a month she knew every song on the soundtrack. i talked her into wizard of oz since the majority of 5 year olds don't know what wicked is. 

for the party my mom made all the girls adorable little aprons to look like dorothy's dress. i just love having a creative mother!
