i really need to turn off the tv and get back to the blog. i have been a major slacker. dan & i have turned into series junkies. over the last few months we have watched breaking bad, downton abbey and homeland in their entirety. we are currently in the middle of dexter and i look forward to it every night. i was never a big tv person...usually i'd just watch whatever sporting even dan had on...but i have to admit I kind of like this new thing we have going. i highly recommend any of the above series if you are looking to start one.

i digress...

since my last post we have been pretty busy. summer is officially underway. the girls had their last days of preschool 2 whole weeks ago. thanks a lot for that puns!

we haven't been doing too much. the big girl are taking swimming lessons over at grandpa john's pool. this was their 2nd week and they are really improving. i predict ryan will be jumping off the diving board soon!







we have also been taking lots of pictures around here. a few weeks ago i got a message from a friend saying a local photographer was looking for a little girl, age 4-7, with long thick hair and a fun personality to use in a photo shoot. my friend thought of ryan instantly. i sent the photographer ry's picture and she chose her out of a bunch of other entries.

she's a local photographer who mainly focuses on weddings but also does family sessions. this shoot was shot for a promo clip she is making and will most likely be on her website. the pics i have seen so far are absolutely gorgeous!



there was make up involved so i think it was pretty much the best day of ryan's 5 yr old life!




this past week we also had a family photo session with another local photographer. i have only gotten a sneak peek of these as well but i am so happy with them so far. cannot wait to see the rest!






i am pretty sure ryan now thinks she's a professional model and is going to expect a photo shoot every week now.
