sunday afternoon we welcomed our sweet little annie girl into the catholic faith. her baptism was lovely. from the gown to the ceremony to lunch back at our house...the entire day was perfect.

i have to gush on this baptismal gown a little bit. isn't it just gorgeous?!? the tradition started back in 1987 when my nana made the gown for my brother jake to be baptized in. (lisa and i wore my dad's gown) yes, you read that correctly...she made this gown! the detailing is just breathtaking. why oh why didn't i get even an ounce of that creativity?!? let me just tell you about the best part of this gown...she has embroidered everyone's monogram and baptismal date into the slip. it is so amazing to see jake and ali's monograms from 1987 and 1989 next to brendan and ryan's from 2007 and 2008! such an amazing heirloom. i am so grateful to have such a talented grandmother!!

annie is so very lucky...she doesn't just have one godmother, but two! there was no way i was about to break up these two. they are equally special to me and now they are forever connected to the littlest hauck girl!

we were lucky to have fr molini preside over the baptism. he is the pastor of our parish and just so wonderful at what he does. i loved that he invited all the kids to come up and be apart of it.
