last week my little tiger had a birthday.

she turned 6.

6 whole years of lilly in our lives.

before i get all mushy about that little fact. let's discuss her birthday party...which was absolutely amazing. no, no i am not tooting my own party-throwing horn the party kicked butt simply because of one thing.

yes, my friends...that is a water slide. in our backyard!

that thing was amazing.

back to the party prep. lilly decided she wanted a party at home this year and after deciding on the water slide we figured summer, outside, water...let's have a luau! easiest party idea ever.

as dan and i got the house party-ready the girls perfected their hula moves.

once the house was ready...it was time to slide!

from 3-5 we hosted some of lilly's kindergarten classmates. such a fun group of girls. you could tell they were all so excited to see each other again. it's been a few weeks since seeing each other every day, after all.

after almost 2 full hours of sliding it was time for cake

may was not a fan of the singing.

after lilly's school friends headed home we decided to keep the party going. we had the slide for another few hours...so why not? we invited some more friends over for dogs and brats and partied on.
