hauck family vacay vol. 1

we spent weeks 5 and 6 of our summer break down at the beach. man oh man, did we have a blast. i miss it already.

i hope you enjoy this little recap of our vacation.

(if you follow me on instagram that you are probably waaaay over our vacay. in that case, i apologize.)

day one (well really just an evening one)

we loaded the plane and headed south on a rainy saturday afternoon. i was a little nervous about how annie might do now that she is fully mobile...obviously i didn't need too. she slept pretty much the entire flight. the other 3 are such great travelers that i don't even worry about them for a minute. they really have this flight down to a science. all and all it was a piece of cake. i actually caught a few zzz's myself.

we arrived to a little more rain but once we got settled at the house the skies cleared up. so, of course we headed straight to the beach to say hello. then down to the pool for a little night swimming before hitting the sack for our first official day.

day two

on sunday we woke up to sunny skies and a smiling baby! i could hardly believe it when i woke up...at 8am...that annie had slept all night! this rarely happens when we have babies on vacation. the trip was already a success in my book! after a little breakfast we made our way down to the sand.

mermaid tails...round two. they may or may not have made a tail for dan! i'm keeping that picture tucked away should i ever need it. (insert smirking emoji face)

annie loved the ocean. i mean looooved it. a wanting-to-dive-in-head-first kind of love. she did not appreciate us grabbing her right before she hit the tide every time she'd make a run for it.
