life lately

here we are...trudging through the doldrums of winter. i always think january is going to be the hardest month to get through...but it goes so fast and then, bam! february hits and brings even more cold and even more blah.
luckily halfway through the month we hit a certain someone's birthday and our spirits get a much needed boost!
as far as life...it's been business as usual around here with splashes of fun mixed in. the weekdays seems to drag on while the weekends fly by in the blink of any eye. i thought i'd go through my phone and upload all the random pics i have saved on there and show how we are surviving this winter.
way back in the beginning of the year my mom, ali, ry and i went to see wicked at the fox. this is ryan's favorite musical so there was no way we were missing it while it was in town!
we had our first snow of the season. which was hardly even a snow. the weather peeps predicted a decent accumulation...and we got barely a dusting. typical.
i was able to join lilly's class on their field trip to the food bank.
we had our second snow of the season. a tad more than the first...enough to warrant a late start. the girls spent exactly 13 minutes playing before we loading up and heading to school. god bless the late start!

all the little kids were able to take in elmo live on friday morning. it was easily one of the greatest mornings of annie's life. she was jumping and cheering so hard when the sesame street gang took the stage.

one day the temps hit 50 so we hit up a park after school for exactly 43 minutes. it turns out 50 degrees is really not that warm.
took my big girl on yet another date to the fox. although we will always love wicked...we officially have a new favorite. newsies was insane. so so good.
i was able to have lunch with the gals up at school for catholic schools week.
i got this email and about peed in my pants.

i have fallen back in love with yoga again now that a studio just opened close to us...with a childcare room!! they hosted a kids class on sunday so, of course, we had to go. my gals are naturals.
we watched the super bowl.

may had donuts with dad...well actually for her it was donuts with my dad because dan was out of town. she was so so happy to have her sarge there!
speaking of dan being out of town...he has been traveling a lot since the start of the year. it totally stinks because a. we love having him home, b. the house goes to shambles when he isn't here and c. i don't have this set up waiting for me every night.
it makes me realize just how lucky i am. no matter how tired he is or how crazy of a person i have been that evening he always has lavender oil diffusing, ice water and hot lemon waiting for me when i crawl into bed.
that is love, my friends!
