well, here we are...back to our regularly scheduled program of school and extracurricular activities.

i am always conflicted this time of year. i love getting back into our routine (minus the early mornings), but i love the lazy days of summer a touch more. this summer especially. this was the best summer of my mom-career by far. the ages of my children are just delightful! they can swim (or wear a puddle jumper), they sleep on vacation, they are tall enough for the fun slides (some of them). i really really loved this summer with my kids.

dan had a business trip in chicago the first few days of our trip so we headed down with dottie for a little girls-only time.

we had to try the hurricane for our little hurricane annie. it became the favorite flavor of the trip!

we could hardly wait for the 2nd half of our trip and having daddy all to ourselves...
