summer...so far

summer is in full swing around here. we are having lots of fun (girls) and trying to stay sane (me) with everyone home. i thought i would check in to let you know what we've been up too...

back when it wasn't 100 degrees everyday we took the girls on a little nature hike at one of our favorite local parks. girl power to the max!

we've been working on our tennis games...

lilly and may kicked butt on the swim team this year.

this was may's first year and she killed it! however, she refused to let me put her hair up and it drove me nuts every single meet. next year i'm investing in a swim cap for sure.

my non-swimmers. ryan opted out...i don't think she was feeling quite as confident since she hasn't spent much time in a pool since last summer. i didn't want to push it because i have a feeling she might come back to it next year.

my aunt debbie came in town for a week and as always took us on some super fun adventures! it started with a picnic in forest park...

then we hit up the king tut exhibit at the science center
(which was incredible, by the way)...

enjoyed some gorgeous june weather at the botanical garden...

and topped it all off with a lilly pulitzer dinner.

we sure love when aunt debbie comes to visit!

dan and i snuck away one night for a little luke bryan.
dan is not a country music fan...but he is knows how much i love luke and took one for the team!
