mr mom
12:40 PMwhile i was laying poolside all weekend dan was home brushing up on his mr mom skills. he was really excited to have the girls all to himself for the entire weekend. he had the weekend pretty much planned out last monday. the rain put a damper on a few things but they still had a great time overall. friday he took off work a little early to relieve aunt nanny ali. then they hit up the grocery store...
but not before modeling our beloved rain boots for mommy first.
after the grocery store they came home for a little tub action and off to bed they went.
i heard saturday was a pretty dreary, rainy day here in the lou. however, they made the most of it by meeting dottie at pillar for mass and going to grassi's for dinner. (this is a pretty standard saturday for us when we aren't so busy!) dan said the girls were great in church and at dinner. i expect nothing less :)
what can i say? the girl loves her pasta...
sunday was a very exciting day for dan & ry. they dropped lil off at my parent's so she could nap and headed out to pay delaney a visit. for those of you who don't know...delaney is our adorable black lab. she has been living at dan's uncle's farm for the last couple months because having a dog and building a house really don't mix well...unless you enjoy having mud all over your current house. delaney has been living it up at the farm where she swims in the lake every day, chases the sheep and plays with all the other dogs david has out there. i'm sure she is going to have a rough transition back to urban life but we can't wait for her to come home!
meanwhile back in the burbs...lil was hammin' it up for the camera in her big sisters sweater! apparently the temps took a little dip and dan couldn't really use the outfits i had laid out for the girls. so much for being prepared!
overall it looked like daddy and his gals had a fabulous weekend. as hard as it was to be away from them i thoroughly enjoyed all the pictures he sent me to keep me in the loop. we are so lucky to have such a great daddy/hubby!
