the graduate

6:52 PM

it was a big day for the hauck family last thursday...aunt mary graduated!! dan & i were on hand to watch that little sis of his get her diploma. (we would've loved for the girls to see aunt mary walk across that stage, but since the ceremony didn't start until 7pm, we thought it would be best for them to hang with nene & dow for the evening.) it was such a fun night. your high school graduation is a day that will always stay with you. mine, for example was memorable for the mere fact that since we were the 150th graduating class they just had to have the ceremony outside on ua's beautiful front campus...it would have been perfect, had it not started pouring the minute we processed outside. it was one of those typical stl spring days where it would pour for 10 minutes then the sun would come out. my mom always jokes that the ceremony was "rain, train, sun." memorable to say the least...but i digress.

mary's evening was perfect. a lovely ceremony followed by a delicous dinner at brio with just the 6 of us. we are so proud of aunt mary. she is headed off to regis in the fall to follow in her big brother's footsteps. we sure will miss her around here but i am so excited for this new chapter she is beginning. my college years were some of the very best of my life (it's when i met dan, afterall) so i envy her and all the fun adventures that lie ahead!

waiting for the festivities to begin...

it's almost mary's turn...
