strawberry fields

after our exciting morning at the little gym we met up with the sweeney's & ali for a little strawberry picking. apparently strawberry season is short...only lasting about a month...so we wanted to give it a try before all the good berries were picked. this was a first time for all of us and we had a blast. picked almost 6 lbs of berries and boy were they delicious!

we left the strawberry fields just in time. we weren't even 5 minutes away when the clouds opened up and the rain came down in sheets. we were so happy to get an activity in before taking cover for the rest of the week. thankfully the sun made a triumphant return on friday...just in time for the long weekend :)

    I'm really glad my purse's coon tail made an appearance on your blog. Also, next year we need to be there for the apple size strawberries, perferably not in a storm.
