princess for a day

i apologize for my lack of posting the last couple weeks. i usually do my best blogging right before bed...but i have been finding myself falling asleep when i lay down with ryan at night...at 8:30. pathetic, i know. it seems i am needing more and more sleep these days.

anyway, i have a lot to catch up on. for starters...last saturday my mom, lisa and i took brendan and ryan to a real, live cinderella play. my mom bought a groupon-like deal that included the play and backstage access to meet the characters. ryan was very excited to get all dressed up in her princess attire and meet her idol.

the afternoon started with a little storytime. ry sat in awe as the "fairy godmother" read them the story of cinderella.

then a little meet & greet with cinderella and prince charming...

along with some cupcakes and lemonade...

and finally a tour backstage before the show to meet all the characters

and then it was showtime. brendy and jack were enthralled with play. brendy was especially curious everytime they turned out the lights in between scenes. we made it until intermission when my little princess was close to a naptime meltdown.
