7:23 PMmoving right along...to labor day weekend.
we usually head west to beaver creek for labor day, but this year we were invited north to "charlevoix the beautiful" (c.t.b) as the regulars call it! aunt k & uncle t have a ridiculously gorgeous home in charlevoix, michigan. once the temps in stl being to soar, they head up north for the summer. can't really say that i blame them...the breeze off the lake is divine. the last time dan & i were up there was pre-girls...i think it may have even been pre-engagement. needless to say, i was very excited to get up there and see the new addition to the house and their new cabana on the beach. talk about deluxe.
let's take another view of that house...
we got in town late friday night so we just chatted for a bit and hit the sack. woke up on saturday to a rainy michigan morning. it put a damper on our beach day but thankfully it cleared up in the afternoon, enough for uncle t to take the girls on their very first boat ride.

after a quick spin around the lake we came back to the house to pick up aunt k, katie & stella and headed down to the club for their annual labor day picnic. i didn't get too many pictures that night. just a couple in the golf cart on the way there.
we woke up to sunny skies on sunday morning. so we took full advantage and spent the morning down at the beach. the cool, breezy day was quite a change from the 100 degree temps we left in stl. the kids didn't seem to mind at all. they were just happy to have sand and water all to themselves.
of course i made ryan pose by the porch. aunt k's hydrangea bushes are to die for!

they just put an awesome addition on the back. a playroom where my girls slept. it just strengthened ryan's desire for bunk beds.
