home again, home again

it's been a perfectly lovely first week at home with our new gal. miss may seems to be settling in beautifully. she is such a laid back baby! third babies kind of have to be, i guess. afterall her big sisters still seem to rule the roost around here. since monday, we have been trying to get back into the girls normal routine. however, a nasty cold hit our house hard last week and knocked poor ryan on her behind. she was home with may and i on wednesday, a usual school day for her, but was happy to be able to join her little sister on her first doctor's visit. may is so lucky to have such doting big sisters...even if they did seem to pass that cold onto her. poor thing. she is so snotty and her eyes are so goopy. doesn't seem to bother her though...she's still eating, sleeping and pooping just as a newborn should! like is said, completely laid back.

anyway, back to her doctor's visit. basically, she is perfect...but we already knew that! she was born 7lbs 14oz and left the hospital at 6lbs 14oz. so when we went on wednesday she was already up a few ounces at 7lbs 2oz. great news for this nursing mommy! she was also slightly jaundice in the hospital, but that seems to be gone as well. so just as we suspected...practically perfect in every way!

other than that we've just been hanging at home soaking in all the great things that come with having 3 little girls around to entertain you :)

(poor ryan...as you can see this was taken just as that nasty cold set in!)

st. nick also visited our house last week. the girls were so excited to get some new books and candy! lilly left an extra one of her shoes for her little sis...since she doesn't quite fit into shoes of her own just yet.

she does, however fit perfectly into her adorable new christmas sleeper! this girl is already decked out for the holidays! more cute outfits to come...
