ladies and gentleman. boys and girls. it is with great pride that i introduce to you...
mary may hauck

what a week it's been! i still can't believe we now have a house full of little girls! everyone keeps saying...poor dan. i mean even the dog is a girl! but you know what, he wouldn't have it any other way!

it's amazing to me that a whole week has already gone by. but at the same time...i'm amazed that it's only been a week that we've known this little girl? i feel as if she has been apart of this family from day one!

let's begin may's story (in pictures) from the very beginning shall we?

last wednesday. the last day of november. our last day as a family of four.

very early thursday morning. december 1, 2011. a day that will forever belong to our little may

i am happy to report that may's delivery went beautifully. the docs worked quickly but it still seemed like forever until we heard "we have a full head of blonde hair" and "ok dad, call it out!"

it's a girl!!!

a beautiful, perfect, blonde haired baby girl! that moment takes my breath away...every. single. time.

proud daddy of 3

big sisters...in absolute heaven meeting their baby sis.
(please disregard me in this photo. the recovery room proved to be a little rough for me. my blood pressure dropped a little during delivery and i wasn't feeling 100% until i got up to my room)

her 6th grandbaby in 5 years...and she still gets teary!

ahhh...feeling human again and finally getting some snuggle time with my gal.

sisters

my gals

for anyone interested...may is named after her great-grandmother on my side. my gma's maiden name is may. i've loved the name from day one and i think it fits her perfectly. the minute i saw her i knew she was a may.

looking a lot like her daddy here. that hair was the talk of the nursery all weekend. every nurse ooohed and ahhhed over that head of hair. they all said how rare it is to see a full head of blonde. she can thank her daddy for that

there you have it. may's first 4 days of life in pictures. it was a delightful stay in the hospital...but nothing beats the feeling of bringing your new baby home. we couldn't be happier to settle into our new life as a family of five.

lots and lots more pictures to come...

  3. Your girls are so cute! I have three Mary's too ;) Mary Frances, Mary Marjorie and Mary Jane. Is it a family tradition for you? I had both grandmothers, great grandmothers and aunts all named Mary so even though i was mary I wanted to keep the tradition going - but people sure like to tease us about it! If we have a boy next my husband jokes it will be MaryBrian :) Your blog is cute- I'll follow you now! -Mary
