easter
7:44 PMspring has offically sprung here in the midwest. it swooped in with all it's pastel glory and has left a permanant glow among all of us. a summer-is-around-the-corner kind of glow. while the thoughts of swim suits and tan lines dance in my head (the swim suits on my girls of course...the thought of me in a swim suit makes me gag, not glow) i reminice about the official start of spring...easter. what a fabulous holiday. nothing makes me smile quite like seeing my girls in new matching easter outfits.
first of the easter events was a hunt at good ol' ua...always a crowd pleaser.
ready for the hunt
that brings us to easter morning and all the treats that wonderful bunny left behind
ladies and gentlemen...i give you the easter outfits of 2012. courtesy of kelly's kids, of course. gotta love 3 gals in blue
after our little photo shoot we headed to bellerive for their annual afternoon hunt. we heard the morning seating had over 500 people...man did we luck out when there were only maybe 5 other kids in our hunt. if only brcc would get the hint and do away with the hard boiled eggs. there is only so much egg salad a girl can take...especially when she doesn't even like egg salad.
i digress...back to the pictures
always good to have auntie mary in town
of course out little tomboy picks the sword over the flower...
waiting patiently
nothing like a good egg hunt pep talk...
and they're off
spectators
as if that hunt wasn't enough we packed our hard-boiled egg filled baskets and headed to my parents for round two...
trying to get a picture of all the hunters
poor baby sister
ryan was amazed that the easter bunny put barbie bandaids in the eggs!
"nene must have called the easter bunny, mom."
hunter looking just like his daddy in this pic
molly's "dont you dare come any closer to my candy" look
oh yeah...jack was there too!
hunter had a busy weekend
and last, but not least...my little easter bunny
there you have it. easter in pictures. and with that...i'm off to bed!
