my catholic baby
7:29 PM
i got so caught up in all the fun of easter that i have neglected to post all the pictures from the big event that took place on sunday, march 18th. that was the morning our little baby girl was welcomed into the catholic church. may, just like her big sisters, was baptized at our lady of the pillar by father tobin in the same gorgeous gown worn by so many others before her. oh that gown. it is one of my favorite family heirlooms. it was made by my nana back in 1987 for my brother's christening and every child born since has been baptized in that beautiful gown. nana has even embroidered everyone's initials and baptismal dates into the gown...it is truly a treasure.
enough chit chat...i'll let the pictures speak for themselves
let's do this
may and her fabulous god-mother and god-father. she sure is one lucky little girl to have such wonderful people to guide her spiritually. i expect you two to come and take may to mass every sunday!
kidding, kidding.
may's loving grandparents
aren't the girls and i cute in our stripes?!? totally did not mean too, nor did i even realize we were matching until someone mentioned it at the church. i hate when that happens!
after the ceremony everyone came back to our house for a little luncheon to celebrate our new little christian soldier
being the center of attention is hard work
i love this picture so much. gma and her namesake
the big kids were so excited when i told them they could open all of may's presents!
it was such a fun day. we are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends who were able to gather with us to celebrate our baby girl and the faith that binds us all.
amen.
