4 months

another month has flown by in this mad fun house. yesterday missy may turned 4 months old!! it has been a busy month with events & parties galore and you have been such a trooper. always just going with the flow. today we visited dr sara for your 4 month check up...

weight: 12lbs 14oz - 25th percentile
height: 24 1/2in - 50th percentile
head: 41cm - 50th percentile
you are growing beautifully! i'm not sure i've ever seen the 50th percentile before...you just may be our tallsuper model. you should thank great grandpa ryan for those genes next time you see him!




in the sleep department you are kicking some major butt! we have made some huge changes this month and you have adjusted beautifully! for starters you are no longer sleeping in bed with me..at all. I'd be a liar if I said I didn't miss having you curled up in the crook of my arm, but I know this is what's best for you. you are now sleeping up in your big girl crib all by yourself! your bedtime has also changed. while I was trying to keep you up past your sisters...i realized just maybe you were ready for bed earlier. i gave, putting you to bed at 7:30, a try one night about 2 weeks ago and that's been your new bedtime ever since. tonight you were even asleep by 7! (i think those shots today did you in.) when you do go to bed at 7:30 you sleep on average about 6-7 hours, wake up to eat, and go right back to sleep until about 7 am. last night you had a record night of 8 hours! man, do i love this new pattern. (really hope i didn't just jinx it)




when it comes to eating...we have switched things up a bit. you are still nursing about 4 times a day...but i was noticing that i was not satisfying that growing tummy of yours. so you now also get about 3, 6oz formula bottles a day to keep you full & happy! it was hard for me to supplement because I love nursing full time and the bonding that comes with it...but again, it's what's best for you.




in other big news...you learned how to roll over! the picture above was taken just minutes before you rolled onto your back!! you have also rolled from your back to your tummy. you don't do it all the time...for which i am so grateful for! most of the time you still perfectly happy just laying on your back and kicking your legs. i don't want you growing up too fast.




another one of your all time favorites is bath time. you absolutely love being in your little tub kicking and splashing. The majority of the time your sisters are in there with you providing you with all sorts of bath time entertainment. they love to help me wash your hair. you are such a good sport when lilly dumps water directly in your face. she means well, i promise!




speaking of your sisters. they are still just as infatuated with you as they were the day we brought you home. you have taken quite a liking to them as well. that tiger lilly gets some of your biggest smiles. we have been spending a lot of time outside with all the amazing weather we had in march. as you can see above the bjourn is your new favorite place to hang out. you love looking around and taking it all in!




it's easy to see that everyone loves to get their hands on you any chance they get. you are such a sweet, sweet girl and i can't wait to see what the next month brings. this is without a doubt one of my favorite ages...
