8 months
6:10 AMthese months are flying by at an alarming rate. I can hardly keep up! a few days ago this little beauty hit the 8 month mark...

at 8 months you are just as happy and bubbly as ever. we don't go back to the dr until your 9 month check up. however i did sit you on the scale in my bathroom the other day just to get an idea of how big you are getting. you weighed in at 17lbs 9oz. i have no idea what percentage that is but i think it's sounds pretty perfect.

this last month has brought much of the same. you are picking up some major speed in the crawling department and pulling up on everything in sight. doesn't matter if it's the tub, the stairs or the dog. if you get a good grip on it, you are up on your feet.

once you get up to your feet you usually like to bang your hands on whatever it is you grabbed on to. you haven't quite figured out that you can move your feet while standing (which I am totally ok with) but i have a feeling that trick is not far away.

you have mastered the art of clapping and waving "bye bye." which of course i make you do on a regular basis because i think they are the cutest things ever. you have also found your voice. you are babbling like crazy and love a good screech to let everyone know you may be #3 but you will be heard!

everyone still thinks you look just like your daddy. so much so that if you are not dressed in some sort of pink or frills strangers may stop and ask me how old "he" is. this has prompted me to get out the bows. i, personally, think you look nothing like a boy...but the bows are pretty stinking adorable on you! (oh yes and you had your first cone on daddy's birthday. oh the perks of having your grandmother own an ice cream store!)

you are eating strictly table food now. i knew that baby food stage wouldn't last very long. you are a fabulous eater. there really isn't anything you have turned your nose up too. you seem to dive right in to just about anything i put on your tray...especially any kind of pasta.

changing your diaper has become quite a challenge these days. you are as squirmy as they come and would rather just crawl around in your birthday suit.

all this crawling has done some wonderful things for your sleeping habits. you are sleeping like a rock star. just yesterday you didn't wake up until almost 9:30am after going to be at 8:30pm. can you say growth spurt? your naps are still stellar as well. you take two, two hour naps a day...unless we are out and about in the morning. thats when you seem to think you are a toddler and will stay awake all morning until we get home and you crash for over 3 hours.

your sisters are still obsessed with you. i have a feeling this will never change...so i would just embrace it if i were you.

you have become a little more attached to the binky this last month or so. not enough where you need to have it to fall asleep...but if you happen to be upset (which really isn't very often) you will take it. i need to stop this before it becomes a major obsession.

you just figured this out the other day...

and this...

(which means i actually do need to baby proof this house)
i am not sure how you do it, but you get cuter and cuter with every passing month. Here are just a few more random pictures because i cannot help myself...

auntie ali having way too much fun babysitting you...

rocking your first tutu. your sisters were absolutely thrilled about this...

your first trip to steak n' shake. (I braved taking all 3 of you by myself before we picked up daddy from his trip to germany. It had been a long week!)

your first 4th of july

what a fun month it has been! happy 8 months baby girl. as always, cannot wait to see what next month brings!

I'm so jealous of her sleeping habits! That is amazing. I've never had a child that slept till 930! If they were that cute and slept that well, I would have 5 kids!! If she keeps this up, I'll be waiting for an annoucement for #4 :)
