summer days

you are never going to believe this...but it's delightful outside...in the end july...in st. louis...absolutely unheard of.

if you happen to live in our fine city or visit us during the summer months then you know just how unusual this is. how miserable we usually are during the month of july. how most years we dare to even venture outside during these months unless its to submerge yourself in a pool that feels more like a warm bath. how its not just the heat...it's the humidity that makes us almost melt. there is no doubt about it...july in st. louis just sucks.

that is, except for this year. this july has been one for the record books. temps in the very low 80s with even lower traces of humidity. it is weather that begs to be celebrated and let me tell you that's exactly what we've been doing!

in the last week we've gone on a family hike...

hit up the transportation museum






picked some peaches and blackberries






























had an impromptu pool party at grandpa's house














and the most unbelievable of all?? a cool evening enjoying mary poppins at the muny!








my fingers and toes are crossed so tightly that this gorgeous weather continues...we can't get enough of it!!
