it's my birthday...

baby hauck #4 will be arriving may 2014 and we couldn't be more excited!! the big girls are especially excited...may could care less. granted i am about 100% sure she has no idea what we are even talking about...either way no reaction from that one. 

i am just over 12 weeks and started to really feel good. the first month after finding out was pretty rough, i'm not going to lie. i have always just battled fatigue in my previous pregnancies...never did i ever have any morning sickness. no throwing up, not even a smidge of nausea. well that was definitely not the case this go around. the nausea kicked in big time around week 6. thankfully i never did barf but i felt like i could all day long. couple that with being a near narcoleptic and you make for one super exciting month.

i swear lilly must have thought i was a lunatic because every day i would lay down after i put may in her bed for a nap and wake up 1/2 hour later with drool on my pillow and her yelling at me "mommy, it's not time to sleep!!" since we have informed the girls about the new baby she has cut me some slack. thanks lil. 

speaking of the big girls...we told them after i received my first ultrasound and their reaction was priceless. they were ecstatic. had about 1 million questions and couldn't wait to tell everyone. and tell they did. within 1 day their entire kindergarten, preschool and gymnastics classes knew our good news. i told dan, we should probably inform the rest of our family and friends considering half of st. louis now knows. 

the news has been slowly spreading around town and we have been getting a lot of faq's...so i'd like to answer some of them for you...

1. yes, this was planned (sort of) dan and i have been discussing the possibility of a 4th for the last 6 months or so...only getting serious about it this summer. once i found out my sister & bro-in-law were expecting again we decided we would wait until after may's bday. obviously that did not happen. baby hauck and baby sweeney will be almost exactly 8 weeks apart. 

2. yes, my sister and i are pregnant together once again. she loves to say that i am always copying off of her...and for the most part, i am! however, you will remember there is almost an entire year between jack and may. so, you see, i let her have her spotlight that one time!

3. yes, this will most likely be our last child. i mean, never say never but i always said 4 would be my ceiling so i am sticking with that. (dan will be very worried about that never say never statement)

4. no, we are not having one more just to try for a boy. as much as i would love to have a little boy...i would love another little girl just as much. all we want is healthy, of course! 

5. no, if it is a boy we will not be naming him "mary _____" you people who ask this just think you are sooooo funny don't you?!? 

so there you have it...our big news!
